StickFigureYellow, commonly known as Yellow, is one of the main protagonists of the Animator vs. Animation franchise, being one of the five members of the Stick Gang.
He is also one of the Fighting Stick Figures, alongside Green, Red and Blue, who first appeared in Animator vs. Animation 4, where they met an orange stick figure named The Second Coming who taught them how to escape their website out into the rest of the Internet.
Known as the brains and engineer of the group, he is best known for his excellent redstone skills and computer knowledge given his ease in using the command block in Minecraft. He was easily able to hack into The Dark Lord's computer to create a animation fighting program for noogai3's cursor in The Showdown. He is logical and confident by nature, but his strong curiosity can get him and his friends into bad situations and he can be a bit controlling.
Appearance
Yellow is a yellow natural stick figure of average height with a solid head. His official hex code is #FFCC00, as stated by Alan Becker in a Discord message.[3]
Originally, he, along with the other Fighting Stick Figures were much taller and their colors were more vibrant. After the original Animation vs. Minecraft, he is shortened.
Personality
Yellow is the most intelligent member of the Stick Gang, and is shown to be the calmest under pressure, being able to think quickly and accurately in even the most dire of situations. Conversely, he is easily startled and often falls over when scared. His high intelligence comes in handy, especially through his expertise in technology and creating. Yellow is the one to teach his friends the inputs and outputs of redstone and has shown himself to be a master with command blocks. Additionally, Yellow is shown to be very caring of his friends, especially Blue—who can be considered his best friend—and tries to keep them safe, though his efforts are not always successful, as seen in Nether Nap. Yellow also has a bit of a mischievous streak and enjoys pulling pranks on his friends, such as by taunting Red with a cake or making Green the wallpaper on noogai3's phone. He is also shown to have a strong curiosity and likes taking things apart to understand them, which can override his better judgement and lead to inadvertent consequences such as being possessed by the lucky orb.
Powers & Abilities
- Overall: Yellow is seen to be very adept in fighting, a trait shared with all the Fighting Stick Figures; however, he is more so known for his knowledge of redstone and coding/hacking.
- Genius-Level Intellect: Yellow's most notable trait is his high intelligence, particularly in technology and redstone engineering, best seen in The Showdown - Animator vs. Animation 8, Animation vs. Minecraft, and The Rediscovery. Yellow is also shown to be capable of using The Dark Lord's computer to contact noogai3 and program the cursor into the Outernet, and he can be seen using redstone to create a variety of contraptions, even as an animal, as shown in The Witch. Yellow utilizes his redstone mastery and weapons like TNT to benefit his fighting style.
- Expert Hand-to-Hand Combat: Yellow is shown to be proficient in hand-to-hand fighting, being able to fight on par with the other Fighting Stick Figures.
- Expert Swordsmanship: Yellow is very skilled in sword fighting, being able to defend him and his friends from a multitude of threats, from hordes of cave spiders and nether mobs to other stick figures.
- Demolitions Expert: Yellow has a very unique fighting style compared to his friends, with his weapon of choice often being some sort of explosive weapon. He can use things like TNT, fire charges, and fireworks in a variety of ways, such as blowing up incoming arrow volleys and exploding across gaps.
- Support Role: When fighting with his friends, Yellow often takes on the support role, making moves when he can while also providing his friends with weapons, such as when he provided Blue with fireworks for his crossbow during Animation vs. Minecraft Shorts Season 3.
- Grappling Proficiency: While not his instrument of choice, Yellow is able to use fishing rods as grappling hooks with relative ease. He has been shown using the tool to catch opponents, hang off edges and walls, and even rescues his friends, most notably Blue, with it.
- Expert Percussionist: Yellow is shown to be extremely well-versed in drumming. This was seen in Note Block Battle and other musical AVM Shorts videos.
- Lucky Block Powers: Under the possession of the Orb, Yellow is able to gain several extra abilities.
- Flight: Yellow gets the ability to fly with imaginary wings from the lucky blocks.
- Item Creation: Yellow was able to get items from the lucky block dimension and use them to fight.
- Control over Others: Yellow has the ability to put others under the Orb's control.
- Durability: Yellow was given more durability then usual.
- Extreme Strength: Yellow was made even stronger then he was before.
- Command Block Staff Proficiency: Yellow is shown to be able to wield a command block staff with relative ease fairly quickly. Considering that the staff seemingly works by thinking of the desired command, Yellow's mind is likely smart and fast enough to think of the best commands in time to use in battle.

Trivia
- At the end of Animation vs. Minecraft, Yellow picks up the League of Legends app. It can be seen from there that Yellow has the Slayer (Assassin/Skirmisher) role, has 807 HP, and has the spells heal and ghost. He also has 500 coins.
- He frequently breaks Minecraft's redstone logic, which is shown in many episodes of AVM Shorts.
- He is the second stick figure to technically talk (the first being The Second Coming), using The Dark Lord's console to send messages to noogai3.[4]
- Throughout Season 3 of the AVM Shorts, numerous hints foreshadow Yellow and his command block staff, which he still possesses as shown in "Ultimate Minecart Race":
- He follows King Orange the second he sees him wielding a command block in his staff.
- King Orange keeps Yellow occupied in his throne room by giving yellow a fake command block staff to attempt to operate.
- He toys for a moment with King Orange's staff after getting it, and grabs the command block before going with Blue to the Titan Ravager Village.
- Both times when a member of the Stick Gang has "died," Yellow is seen comforting Blue.
- Yellow is able to create advanced technology and machinery out of anything; one example of this is Yellow's arcade machine.
- In "The Showdown," Yellow was referred to as "ITSMEYELLOW" after sending a message to noogai3.
- A poll in late 2024 revealed that Yellow was the tenth most popular character in the series, meaning he is the least favorite out of the Stick Gang and was also beaten by Purple (9th place), King Orange, The Chosen One, The Dark Lord, and more.
- Yellow (along with the rest of the Stick Gang and Purple) appears in the promotional trailer of the game Animation VERSUS.
- He is the second Stick Figure to appear in the Animation vs. Education series, following The Second Coming.
- Yellow seems slightly softer than he was in older videos like the original Animation vs. Minecraft.
- Yellow, alongside The Second Coming, has been wanted twice in the franchise. In "The King," he and the rest of the Stick Gang were unofficially wanted by King Orange due to them having and knowing how to use the Minecraft game icon. And in The Box, he’s wanted by Rocket Co. after victim found out that he was the one who printed the cursor in "The Showdown."
- Yellow is the second member of the Stick Gang to have been captured by the enemy in both instances, as Green was captured by King Orange before then, before he left to capture Yellow and Blue. He was later the second member of the Stick Gang to have been captured by Rocket Co., as The Second Coming was imprisoned before him.
- In the 30 Million Subscriber Q&A, Alan suggested that a small quirk Yellow could have is getting into solving Rubik's Cubes.
- He is very good at guessing passwords, as shown in The Showdown and confirmed in the 2025 Popularity Poll.
- Yellow is the second Stick Figure to appear with a Pac-Man mouth, the first being The Chosen One.
- Yellow was the least popular member of The Fighting Stick Figures in the 2025 popularity Poll, coming in at 12th place overall with 1970 votes in total.
- Yellow is the only member of the Stick Gang who was drawn eyewear in “Faces”.
- By extension, this makes him the second major character in the Animator vs. Animation Franchise to have glasses, after Agent.
- Due to his glasses being drawn as a face, this makes him the only major character in the Animator vs. Animation Franchise to have eyewear in a minor role.
- Blue and Yellow both have only died four times.
- He has shown to mimic The Chosen One’s abilities. In “Lucky Block Staff”, the staves he uses to attack the Orb was a redstone staff, which mimics The Chosen One’s heat vision and a campfire staff, which mimics The Chosen One’s pyrokinesis. In “Arcade Cosplay”, he rips open his head to mimic Pac-Man, which may possibly also be intended to mirror to The Chosen One, who is shown having a Pac-Man mouth thrice in the series and four times in the franchise.
- Yellow and Herobrine are the only characters who have broken Bedrock.
- He has the longest name out of the Fighting Stick Figures.
