History
Animation vs. Minecraft Shorts Season 3
Monster School
Spider is first seen walking with Cavell, who Spider was about to talk to, only to be distracted by Red coming out of the storage room, but he looked away and spoke to Cavell and carried on walking, only to hear the bell.
During sneaking, Spider was not being sneaky as Steve heard the spider, as the spider was just jumping up and down. Red tried to run away and Skellington hit him for bumping into him. Spider hit Red for landing on him. When it was Red's turn, Spider made Red slip by shooting a web at him to trip him, and made all the students laugh at Red. Spider ended up getting a D- because he got caught.
Spider was very slow during Running, so he ended up getting a C. During acrobatics, Spider was not seen on-screen, but got a D-. During swimming, Spider was swimming as slow as Zombee and Skellington, which ended up with Spider getting a D-. Spider was not seen in cooking, but he got a D- three times in a row.
Spider was happy he was on the same team as Skellington and Endie, but disappointed that Red was on their team as well. Spider and his team (except Red) fell down after getting hit by the other teams. They were defeated by the Steve clones, only to be saved by Red.
As the yellow team saw the lake, they had no idea what to do, except Red, and he threw Spider, who attached a cobweb to Red & Ghist as a rope, stopping the Orange team, giving them a chance to attack the Orange, Green and Blue team. The Yellow team went on without Red as he was being beaten up by the other teams, but eventually changing their minds and helping Red. the Blue team was about to win, however, Cavell was attached with Spider, letting the Blue team fall down, which gave the Yellow team a chance win.
Before returning to the Nether, Endie threw Spider in the air so he could attach a web to the nether portal, so Red could climb up. As Red & his new allies arrived in the Nether, Spider pulled King Orange's staff away with a cobweb before he could swap the gold block with the Minecraft Game Icon, which Red took control of. While Red was trying to pull out The Second Coming & the Warden out of the netherite, Spider held the staff, though King Orange was able to take it back. Spider shot webs to King Orange, but he could get out.
The Raid
Endie teleported with Spider to reassemble, waiting for King Orange to make a move. He summoned dark mob clones out of the mobs (including Spider himself). The dark mob variant of Spider was destroyed because of the netherite staff. Later on, the gang got a chance to attack King Orange. Spider attached webs to him, only to be knocked off by the netherite axe. Spider ended up getting surrounded by a swarm of dark mobs.
The King
The newly-redeemed Purple smacks King Orange away and destroys the majority of the Dark Mobs, the remaining ones being finished off by the Warden and Titan Ravager. King Orange then tries to reach Purple to get his staff back; Endie manages to teleport him away when he's close, and Spider, with the help from Green and Red, manages to throw him to the ground, where the heroes together manage to pin him down. However, King Orange manages to get his hands on Yellow's command block-equipped staff, and both fights and defeats the heroes, eventually getting to Purple and taking his staff back. Using it, he creates a gigantic dark hybrid of the Warden and Titan Ravager before blowing the heroes into the air.
While Spider and Endie land pretty close to they were launched from, although dangerously close to King Orange and the Dark Mob, Skellington is sent flying into the air, where he's grabbed by Herobrine, who went to find his students. Despite being ordered to go home, Skellington refuses and claims he's not going to leave Endie and Spider. Realizing that his students have been fighting someone and are in danger, Herobrine flies over to King Orange and begins fighting him, during which he reveals he's been hiding his true power. He teleports Endie and Spider to safety before launching his Steve clones to fight King Orange. However, he realizes he can absorb mobs into his staff, and uses it to defeat not only the clones, but almost Herobrine himself; fortunately, at the last second, he manages to possess Red's body and craft a gigantic obsidian stick figure.
King Orange absorbs Skellington, their friend, during the fight. Endie and Spider are shocked and devastated at their friend's death. Herobrine returns to battle King Orange, and although he still puts up a good fight, he's eventually absorbed into the staff. Immediately afterwards, Green and Spider attack King Orange, who knocks away the former and sucks the latter into his staff while he webs onto the roof of the Nether and clings on to dear life. With the mobs gone, only the stick figures are left to battle King Orange.
However, The Second Coming managed to save the day by going through a Nether portal, which glitches out while doing so. During it, the entirety of Minecraft, which was destroyed by King Orange's black hole, is recreated, with everyone being resurrected, including Endie, Skellington, Spider and Herobrine. King Orange then proceeds to apologize for his actions, as when the monsters were dead, he realized that he cared for Purple like a surrogate son after his biological one's death years ago. With everyone saying their goodbyes to each other before they part ways, Red gives his yellow headband to the Warden, with Endie, Skellington and Spider accepting him as a member of their team. Herobrine teleports all four of the monsters to the Monster School afterwards.
In the credits, it's shown that not only have Endie, Skellington and Spider been seemingly forgiven for the beat-up during the Team Race as they are still hanging out with all the students, but the Warden has become the popular guy of the class, with everyone cheering for him during the Sneaking lesson.
Actual Shorts Season 1
Fireworks
Spider is represented by a firework, alongside Endie and Skellington.
Rainstorm
Spider is seen walking outside before talking to Skellington in the rain. Once Red approaches them, he shows them Endie with his umbrella and the four all cheer. Spider appears to show little (if any) concern once Endie's umbrella and Red are struck by lightning and Endie takes damage.
Animation vs. Minecraft Shorts Season 4
Note Block Concert
He watches the concert with every other mob in Minecraft, and looks at Silvester when he digs into the stage to get at Green alongside all his brethren.
Powers & Abilities
He is first shown to sneak up behind rather than being quick, and is rather noisy, including while trying to sneak, unlike Cavell in the school, who is quiet and quick, he learns to use his web more often than using the land.
- Fast Runner: As shown in his grade for the running lesson, he is decently fast, not as fast as his cave spider counterpart, but still was decent.
- Webbing: He is shown to be able to make a string of web that can reach far distances, It's also shown to be pretty strong, as it can hold off Ghist, the biggest student in the class.

Trivia
- Spider and the Warden are the only non-stick figure characters to wield the Staff.
- His personality is very different from the one in the Monster School videos, where he was kind, if somewhat arrogant due to liking to show off his skills. Here, he's a bit of a jerk, although his friendship with Skellington and Endie remains.
- Spider and the Warden are the only mobs in Monster School whose names are their species.
