Mobs are entities in Minecraft. There are three types of mobs: passive mobs, neutral mobs, and hostile mobs.
Due to the events after Animation vs. Minecraft, mobs rarely appear on the desktop unless they are spawned by Red or any other stick figure, though sometimes mobs can come from the Nether. Multiple mobs are seen throughout the series, usually helping or trying to hurt the stick figures.
Passive Mobs
Passive mobs are mobs that do not attack others even when provoked. They appear throughout the series.

The Rediscovery
Rabbits
Three brown rabbits were spawned by 
Red while pranking his friends that he got mind controlled by Herobrine again.
The Building Contest
Cat
An orange cat with green eyes and a white belly was spawned by Red for his excavator build he made.
Note Blocks
Chicken
A chicken is held by Red as a reference for a build, and when Blue accidentally makes a noise with a note block, it runs away.
Command Blocks
Bunnies
White bunnies with red eyes came from command blocks and were used in Red's magic show with the help of them. First there was one in Red's hat and then a bunch. Finally Red turned them into zombies and killed them.

A cow and chicken can be seen in the episode, with Red milking the cow and picking up the chicken's egg.

Sealife
Various fish, some turtles, and some squids can be seen in the episode. They reside in the dolphin kingdom.
Cave Spider Roller Coaster
Chickens
Red spawned several chickens to prevent the Stick Gang from falling into lava. The chickens then disappeared without a trace.
Blue's New Superpower
Imaginary cows
Two cows can be seen when the Stick Gang passed the Overworld, with one of them being uppercut by a tree from the emeralds thrown by the Gang.

Musical Chicken
Red spawned a chicken and Blue fed the chicken with the potion of musicality. The chicken appeared throughout the video.

Red's Parrots
In the video, we can see Red owned a parrot. It appears throughout the video.
Lucky Blocks
The Second Coming's Cats
They are a group of cats, some orange, some white, some black, and ones an ocelot. The Second Coming got them from a lucky block. The gang cuddled with them before letting them go free.
Background Mobs
The background mobs are mobs seen in the foreground of the Lucky Dimension. They inhabit weird behavior like flying or stacking on top of each other.
Gold Horse
The gold horse was a chestnut-colored horse with black hair and golden armor, and it could fly and spit out gold bars. Yellow used him to show he got the Orb that can spawn anything and gives his friends weapons.
The Orb's Mobs
These are the mobs the Orb used in fighting:
- Firework Mobs, they explode like fireworks upon contact.

The striders are mobs that roam on lava. Blue got a group of them to save him and the Piglin Tribe and the Baby Piglin.

The lush cave mobs are axolotls and glow squids that live in a lush cave. The Second Coming and Red went by them while fighting, but noticed the cave and stopped fighting.

Purple's imaginary world has imaginary appearances of Villagers.
The King

While King Orange was in a void, he comes across different mobs being drawn on the wall, such as sheep, pigs, and cows.

Ultimate Minecart Race
Racing Horse
The racing horse was a chestnut-colored horse with no markings. It was fast and it was tamed by Red. It was rode by Red until the end where it was killed.
Chicken Parachutes
The chicken parachutes were chickens on leads spawned by Red to slow the others down while falling and also used it on his horse so it wouldn't die on impact of the ground. The chickens were killed shortly after however.

The chick was born after Blue cracked its egg.
Red's Horse
Red's horse is a black horse spawned by Red in the Plains Village. It would take Red, along with Green, to a Hispanic Village to gather ingredients for a trade with the Butcher. After getting the food, the horse would take Red and Green back successfully.
Lucky Block Staff
Knockback 99 Baby Villager
Green grabbing the baby villager.
The Knockback 99 baby villager is used as Green's weapon to strike a blaze and other Orb's mobs. Subsequently, the baby villager is killed by the pointed dripstone from a zombie.
The Prank
Awakened Cow and Chicken
A cow and chicken—along with awakened sugarcane and wheat—make a giant cake above Red and Green's picnic spot, in the goal of "caking" Green, then throw the cake down over.

Red decides to shove a horse into a wishing well, with dozens of horses raining down from the sky, ultimately dying from fall damage.

Red grabs two rabbits and puts them in a chest, and gives them 223 carrots. He attaches the chest to a trader llama. At the end of the short, he releases many rabbits from the chest to immobilise the Ender Dragon.

Iron Golem (Purple's Kingdom)
The iron golem is a character seen in Villagers. It lives in Purple's Kingdom on the Macintosh. It is shown as an antagonist in Villagers, trapping Green and Blue inside a jail cell. The golem prevented Blue and Green from escaping the jail cell until they bribed the Villager guarding them. The Villager let them out and kept the golem from attacking them.
The End
Endermen
The endermen are characters seen in The End. They roam the islands near the Ender Dragon. Purple, Green, and Blue sneaked past them when they entered the End.

Red's Dog
Red's dog was a Minecraft wolf with a red collar that was spawned by a Lucky Block. Red flew with him for a while before the dog is seen in the battle before the Lucky Pig. It is then killed by a herd of arrows spawned by Orb-controlled Yellow.

Hostile mobs, also called monsters, are dangerous, aggressive mobs that mostly lack characteristics and appear as the secondary antagonists of the original Animation vs. Minecraft, and the main antagonists of the Animation vs. Minecraft Shorts, mostly in Seasons 1 and 3.
In the original Animation vs. Minecraft, they are first portrayed as Herobrine's pawns, while in the shorts, their behavior is pretty much the same as in the original game, except, they are far more aggressive and more deadly than their in-game counterparts.

History
Animation vs. Minecraft
The Second Coming is wandering around the Animator's computer when he discovers the icon for the game Minecraft. He finds he can use this item to build and play Minecraft directly on the desktop, and proceeds to make a house. Blue, Green, and Yellow show up, and the Second Coming allows them to play and create as well.
Red joins in, admiring all of the creations that his friends have built. Yellow offers Minecraft to Red. However, when Red goes to grab it, Red suddenly freezes. He begins acting different, lurching towards Yellow and punching him in the face. Red steals the Minecraft item and begins holding it tightly. When the other stick figures come over to see what is wrong, Red uses the item to fight them, beating Yellow and the Second Coming, trapping Blue in a box, and throwing primed TNT at Green. Red then escapes into the computer's storage folders.
The Second Coming and the others prepare for combat by crafting tools and armor, then follow Red. In the folder, they come across hostile mob spawners and are forced to fight off armies of hostile mobs like zombies, creepers, and skeletons. They survive, then find there is a hole in one of the windows then can travel through. After mining through, they fight off the remaining hostile mobs. As Blue finally destroys the creeper's monster spawner, they immediately proceeded to find Red, which in reality, is possessed by Herobrine in order to take over Alan Becker's computer, to save him from being controlled by Herobrine after a lengthy battle.
Animation vs. Minecraft Shorts
The hostile mobs return in the shorts, this time as a whole. In the shorts, they immediately attack and torture all of the stick figures whenever they see them, as they countlessly attempt to kill all of them in their adventures, foil each of their plans, and to destroy all of their creations. However, Season 3 reveals that some species, such as the piglins, can become friendly with the stick figures if they gain their respect (Blue gained the respect of the piglins by saving the piglin child from death, The Second Coming gainded respect with a warden by reminding it who it was in "The Warden," and Red made friends with an enderman, a spider and a skeleton by helping them win the team race in Monster School).

The wither skeletons, blazes, and ghasts are minor characters in the Nether and Cave Spider Roller Coaster. Both times the stick figures were forced to run away from them though the ones in the Nether were all killed by Green and Blue.
The End
Shulkers
The shulkers inhabit the End ship Purple and Blue hijacked to chase the Ender Dragon. They both died due to the void when the ship incinerated by the dragon's Breath.
Baby Ender Dragon
The baby Ender Dragon is a baby version of its mother, the Ender Dragon, having smaller limbs but a big head. It hatched from its egg and flew back to the end with its mother.
SkyBlock
Mob Grinder Mobs
The mob-grinder mobs are undead mobs seen in SkyBlock. A creeper blew up, causing all of the mobs to escape the grinder and on the island. They were killed a long while after they escaped.
The Killer Bunny
The Killer Bunny
A killer bunny appeared in this short, serving as this short's main antagonist.
Evokers, Vexes, and Vindicators
Evokers, vexes, and vindicators can be seen in this short, first kept hidden then released upon The Second Coming by the killer bunny.

Regular guardians and elder guardians reside in the ocean monument in this short.

A wither appeared near the end of this short. It appeared aggressive towards the Cave Spider Queen, attacking her, saving the Stick Gang in the process. It later appeared in one of the Actual Shorts as a king.

Bob is a zombie with diamond armor and an enchanted diamond sword that has knockback. He was spawned twice, once when Green spawned it, and again when they spawned a baby one to take care of the Orb, and in the fight with Red.

The desert mobs are undead mobs that spawned during The Second Coming and Red's brawl with each other. They both used the mobs to hurt each other while still defending themselves from them.
The Ultimate Weapon

Many piglin brutes can be seen in this video, some killed by King Orange, some ordered by Purple to attack the Stick Gang, then were knocked unconscious afterwards. Most of them can be seen sucked into the black hole at the end of the video.
Monster School
List of Monster School Students
Except for Endie, Spider, Cavell, and Zombieswine, the rest of the students are hostile monsters and appear throughout the series. The yellow team in specific, also appeared in the following episodes except for Note Block Universe - AVM Shorts Episode 29.
- Herobrine is not listed as he is not canon in vanilla Minecraft.

Lucky Block Staff
Gigantic Ghast
The gigantic ghast was originally just a regular Minecraft ghast, however, its size is much bigger than usual ghasts and it is not hostile. Red summoned it using the spawner staff to assist the Stick Gang in reaching the top. When it was stung by a group of bees summoned the Queen Bee, The Second Coming provided the gigantic ghast with a bedrock helmet to make it harder to get hurt. In return, it shot a fireball to eliminate the Queen Bee. Currently, its fate is unknown, as when the Stick Gang entered the Lucky Temple, which had transformed into a giant staff, the gigantic ghast was not shown at all. It remains uncertain whether it is dead or not, even after the temple's destruction, the gigantic ghast still was not shown at all.

Trivia
- Minecraft mobs are the very first spin-off antagonists in the series, as Animation vs. Minecraft is the very first spin-off title in the whole franchise.
- Minecraft mobs are also the very first video game characters or NPCs to appear in the Animator vs. Animation franchise.
- The only animal (which still counts as a mob) which the stick figures had to kill was the Insane Pig in "Potions" because it drank too many potions.
- The mobs that were in "The King" are very similar to the Programs in "Animator vs. Animation 3":
- Mobs will become anthropomorphic when they drink potions, such as the Musical Chicken in “Note Block Battle”, who was able to then challenge Green and play note blocks and the Chicken and Cow, after being hit by a potion made by Red, then become mutated and takes the form of a Minecraft player in “The Prank”.
