Glitchy Cursor 2

The Internet is a digital cosmos that houses many important locations, including ALANSPC, and existing parallel to the Outernet.

Cosmology

The Internet exists as a digital, interconnected cluster of computer networks all existing in a vast space where everything is interwoven via tube-shaped cables (likely Ethernet/Wi-Fi connections) that connect computers (cubes) to each other and to different websites (spheres), which all seem to orbit around the Outernet. The Outernet is a physical representation of the world network in the form of a supermassive, black grid-covered sphere at the center of the digital cosmos.

Every stick figure that is uploaded to websites such as Newgrounds will manifest in the Outernet, which serves as their equivalent to real life. However, the Stick Gang icon Stick Gang live on Alan's computer together, but have been to the Outernet and back to help TCO Head AVA8 The Chosen One fight against TDL Head AVA8 The Dark Lord.

Originally, the Outernet was separate from the rest of the Internet, until Victim Icon victim ended up physically passing through the barrier connecting it to the rest of the Internet with his makeshift rocket after he escaped from his Mouse Cursor abusive creator's computer, causing it and victim to change their colors, turning from black to gray. Due to his forced entry, it caused new cables to emerge from the grid and connect the Outernet to every other computer and website in existence.

Notable Locations

The Outernet

Existing at the center of the Internet's space-like domain, it serves as a physical representation of the Internet's global network and is the equivalent of real life for stick figures.

Computers

ALANSPC

ALANSPC viewed from outside, as a blue box in the Internet, Instagram, YouTube, and the Outernet are visible in the background.

ALANSPC viewed from the outside.

The main setting for the Animator vs. Animation franchise. It is the birthplace of Victim Icon victim, TCO Head AVA8 The Chosen One, TDL Head AVA8 The Dark Lord and TSC Head The Second Coming, as well as the home for the latter and his friends, the Fighting StickFigures icon Fighting Stick Figures. The first computer was destroyed by The Chosen One and The Dark Lord during the events of Animator vs. Animation 3, after they teamed up against their common enemy before escaping as it ended with a blue screen of death and a fried motherboard that rendered the computer useless.

After the presumed end of the black and red stick figures, Alan bought a new computer and over the course of three years, proceeded to use caution when dealing with stick figures. However, after animating The Second Coming and a brief struggle with his newest creation, the two came to an agreement that permitted the newly formed Stick Gang icon Stick Gang to live in peace while the orange stick figure would help Alan by teaching him how to illustrate and animate properly, greatly increasing his skills and changing his outlook on stick figures completely.

AlexCrafter

This is where Red and The Second Coming escaped out of Minecraft from after falling into Purple's trap that separated them from the others. Shocking the Minecraft player after he encountered the stick figures while playing, he saw as they exited the Minecraft window into his desktop before proceeding to use his e-mail to send themselves back to ALANSPC, confusing alexcrafter28 greatly.

After searching online for answers about his encounter with stick figures inside of Minecraft, he received an e-mail from Alan Becker, that had The Second Coming inside of it as he proceeded to take his Minecraft Game Icon with him back to his home in order to save the others from Purple and King Orange. After saving Minecraft from total annihilation, Red came back one last time via e-mail to return the game icon back to its rightful owner.

Grace's PC

A fellow female animator's computer, where Mitsi was animated by Grace for a dance test animation. Unbeknownst to her, this is where victim ended up crash landing after he escaped from ALANSPC in the rocket ship he made using parts of Alan's animation program. Despite his rocket being damaged in the crash, victim ended up arriving right as Grace was finishing the final frame of her flash animation and submitted it to Newgrounds, causing victim's rocket to be caught in the transfer of Mitsi's data which resulted in him passing through Newgrounds before crashing into the Outernet, where Mitsi manifested beside him.

Websites

Newgrounds

A very popular flash animation website created in the mid 90s and reached its peak in the early-to-mid 2000s, in the time before YouTube overtook it as the #1 video sharing website. It is where stick figure animations were frequently uploaded to and where characters such as Mitsi, Agent, Purple, his parents and many other classic characters were sent to, resulting in them manifesting in the Outernet.

It was destroyed in late 2011 by The Chosen One and The Dark Lord after they destroyed and escaped from Alan's first computer, where they proceeded to go on a rampage across the internet, with Newgrounds being their last target. This mass destruction resulted in many Newgrounds characters to be ripped away from the Outernet and pulled back into Newgrounds due to their flash animations being destroyed in the chaos, which ultimately resulted in the unfortunate demise of many, most notably Mitsi.

Yahoo!

A search engine rivaling Google that also displays news about current events. In the series, it is depicted as a space filled with towers for front pages of the site in all of the supported languages, with no ground visible. One of the pages was destroyed by both The Chosen One and the Dark Lord during their rampage, and it was briefly visited by victim as the first place his rocket entered into after he escaped from ALANSPC, with his rocket ricocheting through and wrecking a front page being used by a logged-in user named "Mark". It has a port that connects directly to RuneScape.

RuneScape

A MMORPG popular around 2012 that was the second site that victim entered after leaving Yahoo! in his rocket. The site is depicted as the interface of an unknown user, although the rocket hits and rebounds off of the player character, which causes actual damage to the player in-game. It has a port that connects to Neopets, Miniclips, Twitter, 4chan, and MySpace, as well as four other computers.

Myspace

A social media and social networking website that was the third site that victim entered after leaving RuneScape in his rocket. The site is depicted as a blue void filled with the floating pages of all of the users on the website, all of which are floating upwards, alongside some bits of binary code. The site does not appear to have any form of ground otherwise. The rocket scrapes through the sides of a bunch of pages as it then passes into a port leading to the Singh Family PC.

Stickpage

A website where many stick figure games were uploaded to, but was ultimately destroyed by The Chosen One and The Dark Lord sometime before their siege on Newgrounds. It was around this time that The Chosen One began to realize the severity of his actions and how he was gradually shifting away from The Dark Lord's shared goal of anarchic destruction.

Amazon

The world's most popular online delivery service, surpassing eBay, Etsy, Wayfair and AliExpress. Unlike the other websites, this one hasn't been explored by a stick figure or used by Alan.

Skype

A popular telecommunications site at the time used to make phone calls with other users. by 2011 it was acquired by Microsoft and integrated its platform onto its services. On February 28, 2025, Microsoft announced that the platform would be shutting down on May 5, 2025 and be replaced by Microsoft Teams.

Skype was seen fighting The Chosen One in ALANSPC during Animator vs. Animation 2 and on the behalf of The Dark Lord on Animator vs Animation 3 as well.

Google

The world's most popular search engine. It was seen fighting The Chosen One in 2011. The Stick Gang periodically uses it to find photos for their building contests.

YouTube

The world's most popular video sharing platform. Its video player turned sentient and fought The Second Coming and Green in 2017 and The Chosen One and The Dark Lord briefly fought each other on it, for less than half a minute, the following year.

In around 2024, the Stick Gang used the video platform to upload classic social media influencer videos.

AOL

A messaging platform that served as the precursor to social media. It fought the Chosen One in both 2007 and 2011, and noogai3 used it to try to get help from his friend, but ultimately failed.

Facebook

One of the world's most popular social media posting and messaging platform. The Second Coming used it to try to turn Alan Becker's friends against him in 2014.

Other websites and services seen, but not visited:

These websites were seen visible floating in the Internet during Animator vs. Animation 11, but were not visited, and their presence in the story is minimal. Some of these websites are also shown with outdated logo designs or titles, due to the scene featuring them taking place during March 15, 2007.
