StickFigureRed, commonly known as Red, is one of the
Fighting Stick Figures alongside
Yellow,
Blue, and
Green. He is often impulsive and impatient, tending to act before thinking: either pressuring his
friends to make sure an area is safe or to attack first. This usually makes him the first victim to his enemies. Despite this, Red has been shown to be very intelligent when he needs to be, most notably in "Ultimate Minecart Race", in which he outsmarted and and outperformed the other stick figures multiple times, consistently being the first to find ways to go faster and stop the others, and "Monster School", where he showcased great leadership skills and team coordination. Being the best fighter of the Fighting Stick Figures[3], he is shown to have great affection for animals[4] and will not hesitate to get back at people who hurt them.
Appearance
Red is a red natural stick figure of average height with a solid head. His official hex code is #CC0000 as stated by Alan Becker in a Discord message.[5]
From "Monster School" up until "The King," Red wears a yellow headband, given to him at Monster School. He gives the headband to the Warden at the end of Episode 30, but wears the headband again in Animation VERSUS.
Originally, he, along with the other Fighting Stick Figures were much taller and their colors were more vibrant. After the original Animation vs. Minecraft, he is shortened.
Personality
Red is depicted as a particularly childish yet aggressive member of the Stick Gang. He is known for being unafraid to venture into anything, no matter how dangerous it might be. This aggressiveness has led himself and his friends to dangerous circumstances such as when he persuaded his friends to follow Purple in The Witch and was the first to get impaled by The Dark Lord's Vira-blades. Despite this, he is very adaptable and quick on his feet, which gets him through many situations. He is a very good leader, as shown in Monster School, in which he shows excellent leadership skills and team coordination, being able to perform very well under pressure, and leading them to fight King Orange later down the line in AvM Season 3. He is also arguably the most selfless member of the main quintet and always thoughtful of his friends over himself (with some notable example being him being the first to defend stand up for Green and challenge The Glitch after the former was attacked by him, and urging his teammates from Monster School to go on without him after he got ambushed during the team race). He is an excellent fighter willing to stand up against any adversary, and he has a love for animals that is second only for a love for his friends.
Personality Traits
- Kindness: While he can be a little shy about it at times, Red is a genuinely kind stick with a huge heart who loves his friends dearly. He is well-known for his love of animals, but he also has a love for his friends that is unmatched. When a threat comes around, Red is often the first to attack--no matter the odds--to keep them safe. He is also quite selfless, running in to save his Monster School bullies when they were being attacked, and helping them use their talents to win the final team race. He even urged them forward when he got jumped, showing he cares more about others than he does himself, and convinced his friends to follow Purple when he saw him moping by a portal.
- Dependence: Similar to Purple in a sense, Red can often be seen latching on to whatever his friends are doing and going along with them. Sometimes this means being the accomplice to one of Yellow's crazy schemes, other times he's going to someone for help dealing with a problem. While he is occasionally the instigator of trouble, it's not uncommon for him to tag along with whatever fun thing the rest of the Gang is doing, and has made a quick friendship with the aforementioned Purple, another stick who tends to be dependent on others. Without his friends, however, he tends to panic and run when things get intense.
- Childishness: Red is often depicted as the youngest member of the Gang, and as such, he has moments of childlike nature and immaturity. He can be seen getting upset at times when things don't go his way and, like a child, he often tends to go to someone else for help when things get dicey. He can also be rather reckless, often going for a "punch first, ask questions later" way of doing things. Speaking of which...
- Recklessness: Red is arguably one of the most aggressive and reckless sticks in the Gang (and the kindest and gentlest. He can be both). This has gotten himself and his friends into danger multiple times, even getting him killed at the hands of The Dark Lord when he charged the red Hollow-Head without fear... or a second thought. His reckless, and occasionally careless, nature often leads to trouble, but when Red is the one to blame, he owns up to it and accepts whatever punishment his friends decide.
- Hot-tempered: While not at the level of his friend The Second Coming, Red does have a temper on him, most notably seen when he and his orange friend got into a heated argument about who was to blame for getting them stranded in the desert. However, after their shared anger dissipated, the two of them quickly made amends.
History
| The main article can be found here: Red/Biography |
Red, along with Blue, Yellow and Green, were created by an unknown animator in 2007 or 2008, and were posted on a stick figure fighting website, which gave them the name Fighting Stick Figures. Later in 2014, he was released from the website by The Second Coming, who soon befriended him. He was then deleted by noogai3, but was later brought back when noogai3 reloaded the page. Since then, Red, along with the other Fighting Stick Figures and TSC, became great friends who participated in future adventures.
Powers & Abilities
- Overall: Red is extremely proficient in combat, being able to hold his own against his enemies, mostly in close combat, and prefers using weapons like swords or his own fists. He is sometimes shown to spawn animals to aid him, the most common one being his pig. In AvA 4, he was shown to be one of the most powerful members of the Stick Gang.
- Expert Hand to Hand Combat Prowess: Red is shown to be one of the best fighters in the series, capable of fighting and defeating the other three Fighting Stick Figures, and as shown in the Lush Caves episode, is capable of holding his own against The Second Coming. In the upcoming game VERSUS, he is also stated to use "animal-spirit-empowered martial arts techniques."
- Expert Swordsman: Red is shown to be very skilled in swordsmanship, and can take on multiple enemies at once, much like the other Fighting Stick Figures.
- Grappling Proficiency: While not his usual weapon of choice, Red is capable of using a fishing rod as a grappling hook to swing across or pick up items/his friends. Red’s bandanna also functions as a ranged weapon/grappling hook, as shown in Monster School and The King.
- Ingenuity: Red has been shown to be a quick thinker, being very fast on his feet and highly adaptable in many situations, fitting his more impulsive fighting style. This is best shown in Ultimate Minecart Race, in which he outsmarts the others multiple times, being the first to find quick and creative ways to stop the other stick figures, such as rowing the minecart and ice boat to go faster. He also used creative and efficient ways to use his beloved animals to assist him in battle instead of extra minecarts or rockets like everyone else, such as tying Blue, Green, and The Second Coming to chickens to make them fall slower, using his horse to assist him when he ran out of minecarts, and even leading a bee on a flower when his horse was killed by Green. This creative resourcefulness was also seen in his speedrun, in which he similarly used bunnies to assist him in killing the Ender Dragon. His adaptability is also seen in his fighting style, such as when he led the mobs to fight King Orange in AvM Season 3, or when he used the paint tool to disguise the other Fighting Sticking Figures as Rocket Co. employees in The Machine - Animator vs. Animation 13.
- Animal Trainer/Tamer: Red is shown to be very good with animals and fighting with them. This applies to mobs as in Monster School he eventually befriended the monsters and showed them new strategies for winning the race. The best case of this is shown with his pig (Insane and Heroic Pig), who helps Red and the other Sticks out whenever they need help, particularly with the Ultimate Potion created by Blue or with their sense of smell.
- Leadership Skills: Red has also been shown to be a great leader, as shown in AvM Season 3, in which he trained and led his allies from Monster School to win the team race against the other, more skilled mobs, before leading them to fight against and even (temporarily) beat King Orange later in the season.
- Expert Prankster: Red is shown to be very skilled at pranking his friends, except Green, who is a lot trickier to prank.
- Expert Escape Artist: Like Green, Red is also capable of seemingly teleporting out of bad situations and placing red wool where he once was, as shown when he escaped from Yellow’s hands in Nether Nap and when he teleported away from the cake that fell on him and Green in The Prank.
Possessed by Herobrine
- Extensive Knowledge/Prowess of the Master Block: Red was shown to have much knowledge of the Master Block and its abilities, easily defeating the other Stick Figures with ease twice with it.
- MegaStick: Red had the ability to create the MegaStick, a giant, automaton-like stick figure that Red could control.
- Levitation: Red gets the ability to levitate, as seen in The King - AVM Shorts Episode 30. Red started levitating, as soon as Herobrine possessed him.
- Extreme Strength: As seen, when Red is possessed by Herobrine, he becomes a lot stronger then he ever is. He was able to punch Yellow very hard in Animation vs. Minecraft.
